CURRENT COVID-19 EVENT STATUS

It has been a full year since federal and state authorities restricted large gatherings due to the Covid-19 pandemic. And for show promoters, it has been a lonely one!

We just learned from Shelley Albanese, General Manager of the Visalia Convention Center,  that the recently announced state guidelines, effective April 15th, do not address large public events.  So, in spite of lower county infection rates, the Center will remain closed to these activities until sometime later this year. Since  there is no timeline when the Convention Center will reopen, we have been forced to postpone the Visalia Home & Patio Springfest until February, 2022!

Providing a safe environment for show visitors, exhibitors and staff is our top priority. Our next South Valley Home Show is the Visalia Home EXPO, September 25-26, 2021. Our previously submitted Covid-19 Safety Plan appears to be "conditionally approved" but remains pending the release and implementation of state guidelines for public events. However as the vaccine roll out intensifies and the state reopens this June, the chances are high that Fall events will be allowed. We are currently reserving booth locations - as we do plan on holding this event, as scheduled.

 We remain dedicated to promoting home shows that support the South Valley.  Since 1994, our shows have significantly contributed to the expanding business community by being a forum where home owners could see, test, and purchase home-related products and services.  Approximately 43% of our merchants have business based in Tulare County and over 72% represent companies in Tulare, Kings, & Fresno counties.  Companies that help to ensure the local economy continues to thrive, produce jobs, and enhance the quality of home life in the South Valley.

 We ask your patience as we move forward into 2021.  Like schools, trade/consumer shows are slowly returning with revised schedules but with renewed dedication to all involved.
