Sharon Lovejoy is an award-winning author and illustrator of 10 books about lifestyle, nature, gardening, historical fiction, and children’s picture books. She has contributed to books by the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Rodale Press, Sterling Publishing, and numerous others.

For 13 years she was a contributing editor for Country Living GARDENER magazine with a regular feature column named “Heart’s Ease” after the herb shop and gardens that she founded in Cambria, California. Her columns were reprinted and distributed by The New York Times Syndicate throughout the United States and Canada. 

Her home and garden creations have been featured in books and magazines in United States, Canada, England, and Japan. Sharon has been a guest on NBC’s Today, The Victory Garden on PBS, HGTV, The Discovery Channel, and innumerable radio shows from coast to coast including NPR, Public Radio International, and Associated Press Broadcast News.

Sharon will share some inspiring examples of beautiful and earth-friendly drought tolerant California gardens that thrive without breaking your back or the bank. She’ll introduce you to myriad plants that perform like super stars and simple projects to incorporate into your personal style.

Sharon will show how the interrelationship of native plants and beneficial critters, and her earth-friendly gardening tips can transform the novice and experienced gardener into stewards of dynamic landscapes. She will also share some whimsical and do-able designs, theme gardens, and DIY projects that will add pizazz to a garden.

BOOK SIGNING:

Sharon will be in the Garden Center after each presentation to sign her books which will be for sale.  All proceeds from the book sales will be donated to the Master Gardeners to fund children activities.
